I'm a music artist/label. How do I distribute my music with WaTunes?Distribution with WaTunes is very easy. Heres how it works:
What's new about the WaTunes Digital Distribution service?
The WaTunes Digital Distribution account works in many innovative ways. You can create your very own UPC code for free, upload your album via FTP, add your own news and announcements, view detail sales reports, and check on the latest buzz in WaTunes!
Can I set my own selling price for songs and albums? Or does WaTunes set a standard price per song and album sale on behalf of my songs?
In terms of the upcoming WaTunes Music Store, We set the prices on the behalf of the music artist, label, distributor, and publishers like any other digital downloading store.
What is the minimum number of songs needed to qualify for a complete album at WaTunes?
For a complete album, you can sell 1 song or even a million songs (which will be divided among volumes like a compilation).
How often do I get paid for the sales of my music? Weekly, monthy or quarterly, etc.?
Everyone (including us) will receive payment on the last day of every quarter. Process of payments may be viewed in your account usually earlier before the payment is sent.
What is the "threshold" (dollar amount) that must be reached to qualify for payment?
The minimum payment threshold is $10. If your sales is less than $10, your sales will rollover to the next month's sales.
What if I want to quit before service period expires, is it a "hassle" to stop at any time?
The WaTunes Digital Distribution service is non-exclusive, therefore you can quit and cancel your account with us at after a period of 3 months without any hassles. There are no cancellation fees, deactivation fees, or anything. When we cancel your account, we pull all of your albums out from the stores as well as a cancellation notification to you by e-mail for free.
What kind of sales reports and/or statistics do you offer to help me keep track of my sales?
Through our partnership with RoyaltyShare, the leading sales reporting provider, we provide you with detailed sales reports and billing statements to allow you easy mobility to focus on more important things: like making music!
What percentage does WaTunes take on distribution sales?
We take 10% of your total sale. Giving you up to 90% of your money back! Heres how it works:
Lets say you sell one song sells For $0.99 cents. The stores will receive 35% (.35 cents) leaving a total sale of (.65 cents). You Receive 90% of the Total Sale (.59 Cents) and WaTunes Receives There Fee Of 10% (.06 cents)

Lets say you sell one album sells For $9.99. The stores will receive 35% ($3.50 cents) leaving a total sale of ($6.50 cents). You Receive 90% of the Total Sale ($5.90 Cents) and WaTunes Receives There Fee Of 10% (.60 cents)

What is the maximum storage space I can use? How much do you charge for extra storage space or bandwidth for artists and bands that need it?
Because we have a massive storage space, we don't charge the artist for storage spaces or bandwidth.
I want to try the WaTunes Digital Distribution services but I've already have my music through a different distributor. What do I have to do to distribute my music with WaTunes?
If you already have a music distributor that distributes your contents and you would like to give us a try, simply send an e-mail to your distributor that you want to cancel your account and pull out all of your albums. Afterwards, you'll be freely able to try WaTunes Music Group.
