Product Description & Reviews
The first compilation to follow Tears for Fears from its 1980s heyday to its 21st-century comeback, the two-disc Gold set deftly charts the British band's career course. While the first disc focuses on Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith's hit-making early years, including melancholy classics ("Mad World" and "Pale Shelter") and chart-topping anthems ("Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World"), the second disc compiles Tears for Fears' oft- maligned '90s material--when the act was essentially a solo outlet for Orzabal--before touching down on the ornate pop of Orzabal and Smith's reunion album ('04's Everybody Loves A Happy Ending). Capped off with the previously unreleased "Floating Down the River (Once Again)" and a live rendition of "Mad World," this anthology is an excellent Tears for Fears overview, and is ideal for those wanting to explore beyond the single-disc Shout collection.

This reissue includes a comprehensive booklet featuring sleeve notes and a full UK discography utilizing many of the original sleeves. Includes the massive hits

Cheap Trick at Budokan became the biggest album of the band's career-but it only told half the story! The original release featured 10 tracks, but the band actually performed 19 songs that day. Here they all are for the very first time, sonically polished and in sequence. Air guitarists, get ready! Originally released as a 10-track live album in the late 1970s when live albums were all the rage, At Budokan neatly summed up this oddball power-pop/hard rock band with the added ferocity a live

Various Artists ~ The Wedding Singer Is it forgivable that the second volume of songs from Adam Sandler's mid-'80s-revival comedy begins with Kajagoogoo's famously limp ''Too Shy''? Not really, but the rest of the disc does a good job of recapitulating worthy memories from the era of torn-sweatshirt necks and mulletheads--not just with new-wave novelties but with Madonna and Hall & Oates staples (''Holiday'' and ''You Make My Dreams,'' respectively) as bouncy and glossy as anything the
